COMMENTS ABOUT THE FAIR:
"Sophisticated crowd.  First time I did it in seven years.
New promoter did a great job.  Had more
advertising; great potential area.  Many busy Mother's Day shoppers."  (10/19/10)
***"This was our first time here.  People are great and looking to buy."  (10/12/8)
***(8/8/9)***"A lot of money here.  Very well done show.
A lot of advertising in newspapers and signs.  Excellent crowd and
they are buying."  (8/9) ***(8/40/6)***(7/8)*** "Quiet, upper income shopping center.
Nice people.  Very nicely laid out, the traffic.  Public knew about the fair,
saw ads and came to shop."  (6/9/8)***"Sophisticated and family crowd.  Very nice
crowd looking for quality Art and crafts. They commented favorably on our Art,
but felt the crafts were not all the caliber they wanted."  (6/7)***(6/6)*** (5/6/9)***
"Ring around shopping center.  Easy set up and take down.  Nice, pleasant people."
(5/8/8)***"Very nice people here.  Had fun and it was also a nice looking show.
Quite well juried."  (5/6/7)***"Browsers and families.  We were near the back
of the shopping Center.  Sales were slow; not to busy area."  (5/5/7)***
(5/5/5)***"Set up on sidewalks of a strip center.  10x10's are limited,
but there were a lot of nice locations, no dead spots.  A good mix crowd in this show.
Well-established show, advertise well, as always.  Same good, appreciative clientele.
It is always a delight to exhibit in the show." (5/5)***(5/5)*** "Enjoyable, but slow,
slow, slow. Mother's Day sales, but little else.  Sales low for three-day show."
(5/5)***(4/6)*** (3/3/8)***"Affluent area, nice people.  (3/6/7)***(2/4/7)***(2/8/2)***
"Nice people.  Enjoyed mingling with other crafters.  Lots of lookers, lots of kids and dogs."

COMMENTS ABOUT THE PROMOTER:
(John Holland Art Festival Production, See Promoter's List)
"Very nice and kind.  Put my booth in a great traffic area.  Think fair will blossom
into very good event, with him handling it.  Area can handle more good Art.
Appreciative people."  ( 10/19/10)*** "Took over show.  Keeps an eye
on everything.  Very nice."  (8/8/9)*** "Great promoter.  Knows what it is like to be a vendor.
He cares about your doing well.  Easy to talk to.  He works hard to put on a good event."
(8/9)*** "Very nice person, great to work with.  Actually policed the area and cleaned
out the trash cans on late Saturday evening for Sunday morning.  Does really great advertising.
It is wonderful to have a promoter actually do what he should do for us."  (7/8)***
"Nice guy, attentive.  Does a good job."  (6/7)*** "Nice people.  John is a crafter too.  (6/6)***
"First show here for this promoter.  He filled the mall with lots of crafters and artists.
Customers very much liked the show this year.  We heard many positive comments.
Promoter always visible and approachable."  (5/8/8)*** "Was around several times;
friendly."  (5/6/7)*** "Friendly and available throughout the show."  (5/5/5)*** "Did an
outstanding job in spite of the problems with merchants complaints about blocked
doorways and windows.  Accommodated the whiners, groaners and prima donnas.
Held up well under pressure."  (5/5) *** "Involved, carrying, available.
Trying hard to create a great event here, but clearly needed the support of the community.
More advertising, better signage."  (5/5)*** "Nice guy, did a good job.  Tries hard, keeps
the artist' needs in mind.  (4/6) ***"Good guy."  (3/6/7)*** "John work hard to
make it a success.  However, if he advertises fine craft he should have fine craft.
Many of the booths were not in that category.  Heard customers asked where the Art was.
Hard worker, tries to make the show work well for exhibitors as well as small businesses.
The mall should build a public restroom.  Regulars at the mall say it is difficult to
shop here with no such facilities."  ( 2/4/7)***( 2/8/2) ***( 1/1/6)***
"Nice and always available."
